The learning program will commence at 8.45am each day and conclude at 2.45pm.
Each morning, a welcome bell at 8.40am invites students and staff to move directly to their Period 1 class and be work ready for two lessons of learning, prior to the main 45 minute meal break at 11.05am each day.
Following this break, in the middle of the day, students will meet with their House Mentors during Connect Class. This time has been deliberately scheduled here to support each of our learners to refocus and reset for afternoon lessons and focussed learning.
A 25 minute fruit/snack break is scheduled prior to the last period of each day. Daily times can be accessed from the Day Structure (PDF, 1Mb) attachment.
At Palmview SSC, we are purposeful in our pursuit of personal bests. Learning is our work and it is expected that all learners are work ready each day.
I am work ready when:
- I am demonstrating kindness and respect by being at class on time, prepared to enter the classroom in a calm manner.
- I have all materials required for learning, including my charged iLEARN device.
- I am ready to follow instructions and engage in meaningful and purposeful learning.
- I have completed all homework in preparation for my next lesson.
