The LEAP Academy (PDF, 4Mb) at Palmview State Secondary College is designed for highly motivated and academically capable students in the Junior Secondary years who demonstrate a commitment to learning, curiosity and personal excellence.
Commencing in 2027 with Year 7, LEAP provides students with the opportunity to learn alongside other highly able and motivated learners in a supportive and challenging environment where academic growth, innovation and leadership are valued and nurtured.
Students in the academy are supported by specialist teachers who provide rich extension opportunities that allow students to explore the curriculum in greater depth, complexity and authenticity. Through inquiry, critical thinking and collaborative learning experiences, students are encouraged to think deeply, solve problems creatively and apply their learning to real-world contexts.
The academy is designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills and dispositions required for future success while supporting them to pursue their preferred pathway of choice throughout their schooling journey.
